![]() |
| Deadline to submit: 29th February |

When making a submission, please can you ensure that the guidelines below are adhered to, and that requested information is included in the order given.
General
Please note that the maximum number of submissions per person is THREE. If you choose to submit more than one full paper/developmental paper or symposium/workshop proposal please note that the onus is on AUTHORS to liaise with the appropriate Track Chairs regarding scheduling to avoid clashes between track sessions.
Please also note that you cannot make changes to your submission TITLE after it has been submitted.
- Papers can be submitted primarily to ONE track only. You will have the option to suggest alternative tracks that the paper may be relevant to during the submissions process.
- Please note that authors will be required to upload two copies of each paper
- Upload 1: The first upload should be uploaded in MS Word format and include author identification on the first page only. This file will be used for conference proceedings.
- Upload 2: The second upload should be uploaded in PDF format / MS Word format and exclude all authors identifying information. This file will be used in the reviewing process and any paper with author information will be automatically deleted.
- Use Times New Roman 12pt and single spacing
- In the case of both uploads, the entire paper must be submitted in ONE document.
- Do not use the MS Word Header and Footer function for anything other than the title of the paper
- No inclusion of any institutional graphics or logos
- References must be Harvard style
- Documents must be tidy, and not show any history of track changes
- If your paper includes graphics, please ensure these are of a high quality and please consider your final file size
- No changes in the paper title, abstract, authorship, and actual paper can be made after the submission deadline
- Check that the PDF File of your paper prints correctly (i.e. all imported figures and tables are there), and ensure that the file is virus-free.

- List of authors/contributors & affiliations

Page 1 of the PDF/MS Word version of the paper (upload 2) should include:
- Title & Summary (maximum of 150 words)
Page 2 onwards should include:
- Body of paper/abstract:
If submitting a developmental paper, please include some comments on how you plan to develop the paper prior to discussion/presentation at the conference.
For a symposium/workshop proposal please indicate likely format/ design, plus ideal length, room configuration and audience size.
Decision Process
All submissions will be refereed anonymously and decisions on acceptance will be communicated by the Track Chair. Referees will be asked to consider the quality of ideas, methodology, (potential) theoretical contribution, clarity of presentation, and potential interest to other participants. They will be judged against the norms of the category in which they are submitted.
The authors of both full and developmental submissions will have until Friday 29th June to make final amendments resulting from the refereeing process and to upload the final version.
Submissions will ONLY be accepted into the category to which they are submitted. There will be NO swapping of papers between categories during the refereeing stage.
Design of Conference and Presentations
Full papers will be allocated 30 mins (20 mins presentation, 10 mins discussion). Developmental papers will also have 30 minutes allocated, but will be presented in 'round table' format where a number of round tables will be scheduled in parallel and hence the audience is likely to be smaller. In all cases it is intended that presenters and the chair/discussant for each session will have read each other's papers in advance (access to papers will be online to those registered to attend, approximately one month prior to the event).
Full paper presentations will be made using a laptop and data projector. You will be asked to bring your presentation to the event on a memory stick, for use on the day, along with sufficient copies of a slide handout for your audience.
Developmental (round table) presentations will not be provided with any audio visual equipment and authors are strongly advised to bring a handout of their paper for use on the day.
The design of symposium/workshop sessions will be through agreement with Track and Conference Chairs.
