About the SIG

The Management Consultancy SIG provides a forum for academics and practitioners to examine all aspects of consultancy activities in public and private sector organisations. It fosters and promotes the discovery and decimation of high quality research at the interface between consultants and academics and all types of clients.

We welcome membership from academics and practitioners at all stages of their careers. The SIG actively provides networking opportunities within a supportive environment to explore cutting edge issues.
 

Objectives

• Develop a better understanding of all aspects of consultancy activity and assess its impact on the wider business environment.
• Promote knowledge on how best to exploit the opportunities offered by consultancy.
• Serves as an ideal forum to facilitate activities that develop stronger interfaces and dialogues between those involved with consultancy and knowledge transfer, strategic management, marketing, public sector management and e-business.

We are also undertaking collaboration with the Institute of Knowledge Transfer to organise seminars and promote the field to the wider community.
