Web Requirements

The web is already used to promote BAM, to keep its members informed about activities and policies, to disseminate BAM-related publications and documents, and to provide links to related bodies.

However, because of the changing arrangements for hosting the BAM web site and managing how material is added and edited at the time of writing, this document is intended to provide interim guidance about the basic ways that SIGs can develop a web presence that is clearly linked to the main BAM web site.

Our aim is to develop a far higher profile for SIGs via the web site enabling interactivity and rapid updating.

While the BAM web site is being redeveloped, SIGs are asked to provide the following information that will be included on the individual SIG home page linked to the main BAM site

  • Name of SIG
  • Aims and objectives
  • Current committee members, with contact details for at least one person prepared to receive enquiries
  • Latest news including forthcoming events associated with the SIG
  • Short report of recent events [also to be supplied for Newsletter]
  • SIG events planned for the next BAM Annual Conference (track, AGM, social activity etc.)
  • Details of any SIG-related publications and how to obtain them.

Arrangements for ensuring that details are kept up to date are in the process of being finalised but in the meantime please supply any changes to the SIG Administrator ( mnarvydaite@bam.ac.uk ).
