The BAM experience for me goes back to when I was studying my PhD and relates to be feeling part of a wider academic community than just the university in which I was studying. This community provides a great level of support and friendly feedback which has encouraged the development of my academic career. It is this support that we should endeavour to sustain as the community grows.
Primary areas of research interest
- Distributed forms of leadership, I am primarily interested in how we theorise and research distributed notions of leadership within organisations.
- Concepts of community and leadership conceptualisation, I am also developing concepts of leadership that are rooted in concepts of community as opposed to individualistic notions of leadership.
- Desire and anxiety and becoming a leader, a further interest is in exploring the role of desire and anxiety in becoming a leader.
