Description

This conference will explore possibilities for revitalising management and organisation studies by developing more empowering ways of doing research. Empowering research is understood as a way of working collaboratively with research participants on topics and issues of relevance and importance to them and empowering them to use their voice through research participation. The purpose of the conference is to enabling understanding and appreciation of empowering research as a repertoire of qualitative methods that seek to extend the boundaries of legitimate knowledge production in the field of management and organisation studies.

The event is organised by Professor Emma Bell, Dr Tim Butcher and Dr Cecilia Loureiro, The Open University Business School, and Professor Sunita Singh Sengupta, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, India as part of a UK India Education Research Initiative (UKIERI) project

Event Fee 

Numbers are limited to enable in-depth discussion. The registration fee, to include a conference dinner on 29th May, is £100. 
A limited number of places will be offered at a discounted rate of £50 to members of the British Academy of Management Research Methodology Special Interest Group

Cancelation Policy - Should you wish to cancel your place, you will receive a full refund if your cancelation is made 4 weeks prior to the event. After this, full payment will be required.  BAM reserves the right to cancel the event if there are not enough people to justify running the workshops.
