Dr John Neugebauer

"The BAM Conference is a great opportunity not just to engage with your core area of research but also to get to know of the emerging research areas in other disciplines especially in an era of multi-disciplinary research".

Tourist Information

Liverpool. The very name conjures up images of a glorious maritime history, world-beating musical heritage, two of the Premiership’s biggest football teams and not one, but two majestically different Cathedrals.

After winning the European Capital of Culture award in 2008, Liverpool has gone through an extensive rejuvenation. If you have not been to the city in a few years, or you have yet to visit at all - Liverpool has been transformed into a world-beating modern tourist destination.

It is now bulging with fabulous new shops, buzzing new restaurants, hip hotels and trendy wine bars, as well as a world class cultural offering with more museums and galleries anywhere outside of London. This year also sees the opening of the spectacular new Museum of Liverpool in its landmark building on the waterfront.

And then there's the people of Liverpool, who are famously friendly and will welcome you with pride. It is no surprise, in fact, that Liverpool is consistently voted as one of the top city break destinations by stylish travel bible Condé Nast Traveller.

So when attending the BAM2013 Conference make sure you make the most of what the city has to offer. Come visit the historical buildings, learn about the Beatles, check out the very latest world class art exhibition at Tate Liverpool , or snap up something gorgeous at the gleaming new Liverpool ONE shopping centre in the heart of the city centre.

This city bursts with energy, life, humour, and so much to do. Enjoy your visit – we know you will.
