Mobilising Change in Difficult Times Doctoral Symposium

Supported by the British Academy of Management Leadership and Leadership Development Special Interest Group, UWE is hosting this doctoral symposium for doctoral presenters undertaking research within the festival theme of “Mobilising Change in Difficult Times”.

The presenters have been selected on the strength of their application and will present their ideas in an ‘Ignite’ style format in front of fellow postgraduate students, practicing leaders and managers, academics and a panel of judges. There will be time for discussion and debate. Please join in for all or part of the afternoon in room 2S708.

The successful applicants represent a diverse and stimulating range of contexts - both regionally (from Bristol to Saudi Arabia to Sub-Saharan Africa) and in terms of disciplinary field (Health and Social Care, Education) and practice (Environment and Carbon Capture, interrogating consumerism). We look forward to welcoming them to UWE. They have been awarded tickets to an exciting conference taking place over the same weekend at UWE entitled “Leadership, ethics and working with unknowing” in addition to a £50 travel bursary for speakers (subject to eligibility, please contact Oana Mihut at for more details), supported by the BAM LLD SIG, there will be a prize for the best three presenters on the day.
