12th Annual workshop on Teaching Research Methods to Business and Management Students: Your Research Methodology Class Has HOW MANY Students?!
This workshop will focus on the challenges involved in engaging students in and delivering content on Research Methodology, with a particular emphasis on those relating to large groups.
Professor Mark Saunders (University of Birmingham)- “Ways of engaging 400 plus students that have worked (at least for me)”
Professor Edel Conway (Dublin City University)- “The interface between teaching and research: Integrating theory, methods and tools.”
Dr. Christina O'Connor (Maynooth University)- “Case studies: how lived business problems can help students solve problems”
Professor David Coghlan (Trinity College Dublin)- Title: “Fostering Undergraduate Research through Insider Inquiry: Making Use of Student Work Experiences”
This event will take place on the 31st March 2017: 10.00 - 16.00 (registration from 09.30)
Who Should Attend
This workshop will be of benefit to those teaching/lecturing/instructing on Research Methodology, particularly to large, challenging and diverse groups of students. Though the primary focus will be on business and management students the workshop will be of use to lecturers in allied disciplines, including the social sciences
