Entrepreneurship is well-placed for the impact agenda, as much of entrepreneurship scholarship and research has direct links with external issues and organisations. Entrepreneurship research and entrepreneurship education have significant economic and broader societal impact, particularly in terms of attitudes, aptitudes, abilities and action. This meeting of the Entrepreneurship group picks up on its vision, set out below, and welcomes contributions from across the entrepreneurial spectrum. Please let us know if you have interest in attending and/or contributing to this impact debate.
Vision for the BAM Entrepreneurship SIG: The vision for the Entrepreneurship SIG is to build upon the existing foundations and establish effective research collaborations across academia and with industry professionals. Complementary links with other SIGs may also be explored. The SIG objectives are to provide a forum for discussion, debate and dissemination on entrepreneurship-related issues, to aid networking between members, and to encourage interaction and collaboration internally and externally, as a means of forming bridges between BAM, public policy and practice through research, networking and knowledge transfer activities. Areas of interest would include issues where entrepreneurship has economic impact or impact on society more broadly and this would include new venture creation, entrepreneurship education, innovation, survival, growth, female entrepreneurship, family business entrepreneurship, ethnic minority entrepreneurship, creative industries, entrepreneurial finance, marketing, learning and more.
This event will take place on Friday 14th December 2018
