The “Enhancing your application for the BAM Education Practice Award 2021” webinar will help prospective applicants to prepare for this year’s award. The presenters will be winners of past awards for both experienced and early careers categories. The webinar will be held between 10:00 am and 11:00 am BST, on Tuesday, 25 May 2021. There will be a Q&A session with the presenters.

Dr Hill is the Associate Head Research, Enterprise and Knowledge Exchange at the Royal Agricultural University. She is a passionate academic teacher with over 25 years’ experience. She focuses on sustainable business education aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals to create responsible impact aware leaders for The Future of Work. She holds two Master’s in Education. She is a strategic influencer of enterprise entrepreneurship education since 2003 and was awarded the 2020 prestigious Management Education Practice Award for Experienced Teaching Practitioners by the British Academy of Management. A sought after speaker, her latest invite was for the Westminster Business Forum in 2021. Her teaching related publications are internationally renowned including a textbook.

Ian Stewart is a Reader at the University of Manchester, Faculty of Science and Engineering. He is Programme Director of the MSc in Management of Projects and sits on the steering committee of the University College for Interdisciplinary Learning. He also teaches around business strategy, change and commercial management at Alliance Manchester Business School, Warwick and EIGSI, La Rochelle. His pedagogic interests are around the engagement of industry practitioners, the human costs of experiential learning in very large class situations and the influence of higher education on graduate’s professional identity.

Dr Thomas Elston. University of Oxford. Winner in 2019. Title of initiative, “When the rubber meets the road. Using fly-on-the-wall video documentaries to complement case teaching in the classroom”.
Thomas Elston is an Associate Professor of Public Administration at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the organization and management of public services, and he consults for a range of governments in Europe and North America on questions of inter-organizational collaboration and civil service reform. Thomas teaches classes on political science and public sector management on the Oxford MPP, a one-year professional degree for early- and mid-career public servants. He also conducts workshops on strategy, organizational feedback and resilience for a variety of executive education programmes.

Victoria McCall and Dr Ahmed Al-Abdin. University of Liverpool. Winners in 2018. Title of initiative, “Using music, and creative and blended learning techniques to enhance student experience in Strategic Marketing”.
Victoria McCall is Director of Studies for the MSc Marketing online programme and is a Senior Fellow of the HEA. Victoria has developed blended modules at University of Liverpool Management School and was awarded a University of Liverpool Faculty Learning and Teaching Award for Excellence and Innovative Practice. She lectures across a variety of modules in marketing and has received six ULMS Teaching Excellence Awards. In 2018, Victoria was awarded the BAM Education Practice Award and in 2019 Victoria received the Faculty Learning and Teaching Award for a project looking at music and creative blended learning techniques. Victoria's research interests include pedagogic innovation and digital marketing.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Abdin is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Programme director for BA Marketing. He has been presented with numerous awards over the past few years including the management school Early Career Teacher of the year (2016), Teaching Excellence Awards (2017, 2018 & 2019), a joint British Academy of Management Education Practice Award (2018), jointly awarded a Faculty Learning and Teaching Award (2019) for a joint project looking at music and creative blended learning techniques, The Guild Students Union Teacher of the Year award (2019). He is interested in the areas of innovative teaching techniques (even experimenting with Tiktok).
