BAM2018 CONFERENCE PROGRAMME - EVENTS TO LOOK FORWARD TO

David Sweeney, Executive Chair Research England, is confirmed to speak on the new rules for REF 2021 as part of a BAM2018 Fringe REF event on Impact on Monday 3rd September at Bristol Business School, University of the West of England. 

We are also delighted to announce several other leading figures already confirmed to speak at BAM 2018:

  • Lord Bichard will deliver the conference opening address on 'The Role of Universities in Enhancing Productivity'

  • Lord Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer, will deliver a keynote address titled 'Boldness in Business'

  • Vicky Pryce, economist, will deliver a keynote address on Brexit, with a response from an expert panel

  • John Manzoni, CEO of the UK Civil Service will deliver a keynote address

  • Julian Birkinshaw, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the London Business School and listed in the 2015 Thinkers 50 list, will deliver a keynote address on 'Developing New Ways of Working for the Digital Age'.

  • Jean Bartunek, Professor of Management and Organization at Boston College, and Jane McKenzie, Professor of Management, Knowledge and Learning will deliver a keynote on 'What Relevant Teaching Might Really Mean'.

  • TV presenter Jonathan Dimbleby will be in conversation with Michael Eavis, founder of the Glastonbury Festival, at the Conference Gala Dinner, as we dine beneath the wings of the iconic Concorde plane.

  • Panel discussants include Rob Law, entrepreneur and star of BBC Dragon’s Den as inventor of Trunki pull along children’s suitcases.
