We had a record number of submissions to the HRM track for the BAM conference this year, with a total of 72 submissions. We are delighted to have two workshops accepted for presentation at the conference, as well as over 20 full papers and 40 developmental papers.
The themes span many areas of HR activity, including the challenges of managing older workers, career development, the role of agreement across HR and line managers, managing knowledge workers, international HRM and so on.
In the coming months, leading up to the BAM conference, it would be very helpful if some of you could please act as Session Chairs. This is an important and valuable role that provides a unique overview of the papers in your session and helps draw together discussion and synergy across those papers. If you could let Pawan and I know of your availability and interest in acting as session chair, that would be very helpful.
Meanwhile, please bear in mind that there are still a few spaces available for the HRM track workshop entitled:
'The Influence of Context in Shaping Human Resource Management'
