Research - policy - impact?

A paper presented to the BAM conference at Warwick in 2017 has generated not only a peer-reviewed journal article, but also formed the basis of a policy briefing for members of The Conference Board, a New York-based think-tank with a global membership of major corporate CEOs. The paper, presented to the Corporate Governance track by Donald Nordberg of Bournemouth University and the financial services professional Rebecca Booth, on policy direction concerning evaluation of boards of directors, gave rise to a 2019 article (doi:10.1108/CG-08-2018-0275) in Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society (Emerald). The Conference Board then asked to publish a related paper Nordberg and Booth had been preparing on that theme, which due for circulation in June 2019. The authors also used their research to contribute to the policy debate over the 2018 revision of the UK Corporate Governance Code.
