BAM2024 Conference - Call for Papers now open
The British Academy of Management is pleased to announce that the Call for Papers for the BAM2024 Conference is now open.
The call for papers, which includes proposals for Professional Developmental Workshops (PDWs), will form the main element of the BAM2024 Conference, which will be taking place on Monday 2nd September (virtual day) with the in-person days of the Conference from Wednesday 4th to Friday 6th September.
The paper submission site is still open and will close at 23:59 GMT on Friday 1st March.
Hosted by Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University, the Conference will consist of Paper presentations, keynote panel sessions, PDWs and social activities. The Conference will once again be held in a hybrid format, with livestream plenary sessions online. With our commitment to make events sustainable and accessible to all, a number of virtual elements will be incorporated within the programme.
The theme of the Conference centres around the idea of ‘achieving transformation for greater good: Societal, organisational and personal barriers and enablers. The question of how to elicit transformation has assumed a new urgency against a backdrop of intense global competition, the digitisation of work, hybrid working and the promise of the metaverse as well as skill challenges and wider political developments? This wider theme also poses questions such as how do organisations, the people they employ and the environments to which they belong, flex, adjust and transform themselves to overcome the manifest challenges they face in these turbulent times?
Madeleine Barrows, CEO of BAM says, 'The BAM team are all looking forward very much to another friendly, international and interdisciplinary conference. BAM2023 was our biggest conference ever, with over 1000 delegates from over 50 countries right around the globe. So, with our hosts at Nottingham Business School, we are gearing up to welcome even more business and management scholars in 2024. Join us to share research and insights, congenial discussions, build your networks, and think new thoughts in the leading community for business and management scholars.'
