Session 10 of the BAM Wellbeing Webinar series
The session titled ‘The Resilient Academic: Shared Experiences on Thriving at Every Career Stage’ will deliver a discussion on what ‘resilience’ is and how academics at all career stages can build and develop resilience.
Both speakers will provide their key takeaways on resilience building and highlight the important of resilience in the current climate for academics globally, for both their wellbeing and thriving in their career path. Dr Rebecca Beech’s delivery on the latter is informed by her two past book chapter publications in collaboration with co-authors, the books were edited by Professor Mark Saunders and colleagues. Additionally, the session will bring together two speakers at different career stages to share their experiences of being resilience when navigating their academic journey.
Firstly, Dr Rebecca Beech, an early career transitioning to mid-career, will share their experiences of resilience and how they navigated their path as a research and teaching academic at a UK institution. Also drawing upon their experiences as they navigate the transition from early career to mid-career presently.
