Carbon and ESG data have been getting an increasing attention in research and financial markets for the last 30 years. However, the interest of regulators, researchers and market participants is now shifting from using simple ratings, scores and aggregated ESG data to examining the data strategically and determine more holistic sustainable business approaches.
With increasing awareness of rising corporate greenwashing and growing consumer scepticism of sustainability claims while climate risks are topping the corporate and government agendas, it is crucial for business leaders, regulators, researchers and market participants to adapt their focus on these developments.
The aim of this workshop is to develop skills and awareness of working with sustainability-related databases, and to generate collaborative research opportunities for responsible and sustainable business research.
The event helps researchers and practitioners to focus on these new developments, to access carbon and ESG data and use it to examine and measure the use of holistic approaches in corporate sustainability, thus building hands-on skills in data analysis.
The workshop offers developmental opportunity for PhD students, market participants and established academics to identify, retrieve and use Carbon and Sustainability indicators and so enable them to raise the level of their studies in sustainability, carbon metrics and carbon performance for research and application in the private sector.
Academics, Early Career Researchers, doctoral students, practitioners.
The event speaks to Sections C3 and D2, as detailed in the BAM Framework

Simon comes at this series as someone who has had some funding success, but happy to share his experiences with a view to improve success for all involved
