CMCE - BAM Joint Event: Voices on Leadership: Leading Serious Accident Investigations

Staged jointly by the BAM Management Consultancy Network (MCN) and the Centre for Management Consulting Excellence (CMCE)

Description

We are delighted to welcome Dr David Ramsay to speak at this event in the CMCE/ BAM Voices on Leadership series.

Almost forty years ago David Ramsay devised a systems based model for the investigation of industrial problems and accidents. The methodology, Kelvin TOP-SET®, is now taught to industrial clients in fifty five countries.

Serious investigations have been led or facilitated by David Ramsay and his team in over thirty countries at the latest count. These investigations covered many sectors from offshore oil and gas, marine, rail civil engineering, to chemicals and explosives. Many of these investigations included injury and loss of life and major capital loss including the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Disaster conducted on behalf of the rig owners.

Using many examples from his experience, David Ramsay will talk about the methods and challenges in this unusual area of leadership.
