This workshop provides a hands-on opportunity to help researchers develop visualisations- to better communicate their research both in presentations and journal papers. Visualisations represent the opportunity to convey complex data in an easily understood and quickly absorbed format. It allows researchers to convey concepts that might otherwise not be possible in a purely text-based communication.
This workshop will focus on how to develop these visualisations with the same rigour as we apply to our written work. The workshop will specifically consider how to develop conceptual models.
Participants will be able to bring their own visualisations and apply the ideas and approaches and then peer review them.
No particular software platform will be used, so any format or hand drawn visualisation are applicable.
