British Journal of Management (BJM) Special Issue Paper Development Workshop (Hybrid):
Generative artificial intelligence for future decision-making boundaries: Establishing fresh theories and praxis

British Journal of Management is pleased to announce the new Special Issue entitled: “Generative artificial intelligence for future decision-making boundaries: Establishing fresh theories and praxis”.
To support potential authors for the special issue, this Hybrid paper development workshop will support potential authors of this Special Issue and to have more detailed feedback of their work in progress and the expectations of the SI. There will be opportunities for raising questions to the special issue guest editor team.

Participants: The SI Editorial Team will invite authors of up to 25 abstracts to present.
Participation: Free, but participants are encouraged to become members of the British Academy of Management. Participants are required to arrange their own travel and accommodation.
All participants will be required to submit an extended abstract of max 500 words following the abstract template (longer abstract will not be considered) no later than 1st Sept 2025 (UK time).
The Guest Editor Team will review the submitted abstract and aim to inform the presenting authors of the acceptance of the abstract and provide joining instructions by 22nd Sept 2025.
The presenting author of selected papers will be given 10min to present (in person or online) the paper in progress and then receive 10min feedback from the Guest Editor Team.
Attention: It is not mandatory to participate in this PDW to submit a paper. Inclusion or exclusion of the abstract into this workshop will not imply acceptance or rejection of the full journal paper.

Professor Ashley Braganza is Professor of Organisational Transformation Change at Brunel Business School. He is teaching on Undergraduate and Postgraduate taught programmes.
His research interests encompass big data, change management, strategy implementation, process and knowledge management, and transformation enabled information systems. He has published over 100 papers in prestigious academic and practitioner journals and three books. He has carried out over 50 consultancy assignments with large global organisations.
He has held several senior leadership positions in academic institutions as well as serving on the governing bodies of schools and small and medium-sized enterprises. He is one of the track co-chairs of the Organisational Transformation, Change and Development (OTCD) SIG.

Maureen Meadows is Professor of Strategic Management at the Centre for Business in Society (CBiS) at Coventry University. Maureen spent ten years at the Open University Business School, including five years as Head of Department for Strategy and Marketing, OUBS, and leader of the MBA module in strategic management. She was previously at Warwick Business School for thirteen years, where she directed the MSc in Management Science and Operational Research for five years.

Professor Qile He, also known as Horace, is a Professor of Strategy and Performance Management at the University of Derby, UK and the Chair of the College Research Committee at the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences. He was previously the Associate Head of School for Research of the School of Strategy and Leadership at Coventry University, UK.
His research expertise and interests are in the area of interfirm alliances and partnerships, innovation strategies and processes of organizations, as well as sustainable and responsible business. He has published over 100 papers in refereed journals, books, and leading international conference proceedings. He was a selected member of staff for RAE2008, REF2014, and REF2021. He has supervised multiple PhD candidates to completion.
He was a council member of the British Academy of Management (BAM) for a period of 5 years. He was also a co-chair of the BAM Inter-organizational Collaboration SIG for 6 years in a row. He is currently a Fellow of the BAM Peer Review College
