This event will take place in-person only.
This series of two workshops has been designed with the dual purpose of supporting colleagues to develop understanding and confidence in:
• supervising undergraduate and taught postgraduate research undertaken within the quantitative paradigm
• undertaking their own evaluation or research using quantitative approaches
The two workshops comprise:
Day 1, 10:00 - 16:00 UK time
Day 2, 9:30 - 15:00 UK time
Participants may opt to participate in only the one day, although we would encourage participants to join us for both workshops where possible
Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop with MS Excel and IBM SPSS software loaded. However, desktops will be available for those unable to supply their own. Participants are also requested to bring with them details from their student research modules/dissertations of the guidance that students receive and standards they need to meet in terms of data collection, presentation and analysis.
Benefits of attendance:
- Increased understanding of supervising research undertaken within the quantitative paradigm
- Increased confidence in supervising undergraduate and taught postgraduate research undertaken within the quantitative paradigm
-
Increased understanding and confidence in undertaking your own evaluation or research using quantitative approaches, and/or in understanding publications using the quantitative paradigm
