Description

Hosted by our Management Consultancy Network, this coffee morning is an opportunity for any BAM member interested in the network to build up connections through informal chats. No preparation is required, just join the call with your preferred morning tea or coffee.

This month's discussion focus is below:

Topic: 'What is engaged scholarship and how is it different from management consulting?'

Andrew H. Van De Ven (2007) proposed Engaged Scholarship as a way of closing the theory-practice gap by connecting academic research and theory with reality by collaborating with stakeholders to resolve practical problems.

This informal discussion will explore the differences between Engaged Scholarship and management consulting.

The session opens with a guided discussion from 08.30 until 9:00 and the Zoom call will stay open until 9:30 for those who wish to continue informal networking.
