Hosted by our Management Consultancy Network, this coffee morning is an opportunity for any BAM member interested in the network to build up connections through informal chats. No preparation is required, just join the call with your preferred morning tea or coffee.
This month's discussion focus is below:
What are the specific ‘soft’ behavioural skills that consultants need that differ from those required in conventional management roles, or require a much higher level of effectiveness?
The competence frameworks for Chartered and Certified Management Consultant include several such skills, but they do not distinguish skills needed by consultants from general management skills and the descriptions are relatively high level. Can we identify the behavioural competences particular to consultants more explicitly?
The session opens with a guided discussion from 08.30 until 9:00 and the Zoom call will stay open until 9:30 for those who wish to continue informal networking.
