Hosted by our Management Consultancy Network, this coffee morning is an opportunity for any BAM member interested in the network to build up connections through informal chats. No preparation is required, just join the call with your preferred morning tea or coffee.
This month's discussion focus is below:
“The consultant’s role in the interaction between digitalisation and clients achieving sustainability goals”.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim for nations and corporations to foster sustainable cities and communities and deliver the climate action needed to ensure good health and wellbeing for all (UN, 2021). The UN agency for ICT has identified digital technology as a sustainability driver in delivering the SDGs (ITU, 2022). Digital technologies provide opportunities for the dematerialisation and decarbonisation of productive system while improving sustainable development programs and strategies across different sectors including healthcare, logistics etc. Nevertheless, digitalisation and sustainability are often considered separately without recognising the opportunity for firms to synergise the effort to achieve both requirements through joined-up thinking. Our Coffee Chat therefore focuses on the consultant’s role.
The session opens with a guided discussion from 08.30 until 9:00 and the Zoom call will stay open until 9:30 for those who wish to continue informal networking.
