The ECA (Early Career Academic) Network is pleased to share its latest informal, online networking session.

Growing your network is a must as an Early Career Academic and attending conferences is a great way to do just that. Yet, navigating these experiences can sometimes be challenging.

This interactive, informal session will delve into the intricacies of making meaningful connections, building professional relationships, and leveraging conference opportunities effectively.

Joined by Professor Dave Bryde, Director of Research & Innovation in the Faculty of Business and Law, Liverpool John Moores University and a Professor of Project Management, this session will help you to discover important dos and don'ts when networking at conferences and will include discussion of important factors such as how to approach other academics, making the most of the interaction and following up afterwards.

Whether you're a seasoned conference attendee or a first timer, this session provides an opportunity to discuss the skills and strategies needed to navigate networking with confidence.
