Hosted by our Strategy SIG, this coffee morning is an opportunity for any BAM member interested in the network to build up connections through informal chats. No preparation is required, just join the call with your preferred morning tea or coffee.

Who Should Attend?
Primarily this session is targeting specialist knowledge section B. This includes B1, B2, B3, with a focus on B2 - innovation in teaching, and B3 – steering teaching practices, as detailed in the BAM Framework.

Dr Don Park

Dr Don Park

Education Director of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, University of Bristol

He plays a key role in shaping and enhancing the educational vision and strategy of the Centre, as well as ensuring the academic quality and standards of its programmes and units. He has a wealth of experience in senior academic management positions, having led and taught various subjects related to innovation and entrepreneurship at four UK universities. He also has a strong background in the creative industries, having worked on international advertising and marketing campaigns for major media corporations in film, music, and television. He is passionate about teaching and mentoring students who want to develop their entrepreneurial skills and mindset, as well as collaborating with external partners and stakeholders to create opportunities for students to engage with real-world problems and solutions. He also contributes to the delivery of units as a unit director or team member, teaching approaches to creative, rapid idea generation and innovation.

Dr Gerasimos Balis

Dr Gerasimos Balis

Director of Research and a senior lecturer at the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, University of Bristol

In addition to overseeing the PhD programme, he teaches Entrepreneurship as well as Design and Systems thinking, helping students to develop their creative and entrepreneurial potential. His research focuses on Service Design for Entrepreneurship, exploring how design tools and a service oriented logic can help entrepreneurs learn faster and be more successful. He is interested in advancing the knowledge and practice of Design for Entrepreneurship and shaping the next generation of Designers and Entrepreneurs.
