Sustainability-related performance: Pathways to Net Zero

From global to local economies the race to Net zero by 2050 is fully on! This event will bring together participants from academia, policy and practice to exchange ideas on how to make the transition to Net Zero a reality.

This event will take place in-person only.

Event description

This workshop is aimed at publishing in operations, supply chain and logistics journals. It will provide an opportunity for scholars in these fields to test out their work in a supportive environment and receive constructive criticism to progress work towards publication.

Delegates will participate in Journal-focused groups to improve their submissions. Suggested target journals are:

  • International Journal of Operations and Production Management (IJOPM)
  • Journal of Operations Management (JOM)
  • Production Planning and Control (PPC)
  • Journal of Supply Chain Management (JSCM)
  • Supply Chain Management an International Journal (SCMIJ)
  • International Journal of production research (IJPR)
  • Journal of Cleaner Production (JCP)
  • British Journal of Management (BJM)
  • International journal of Management Reviews (IJMR)
Call for abstracts

We would welcome submissions from established academics, ECR’s s and close-to-completion Ph.D. students. 

Please send an abstract (maximum 300 words) along with your target journal and BAM banding:

  • Banding 1 - early career
  • Banding 2 - mid career
  • Banding 3 - senior career

There are 21 spaces (7 for each banding). Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 25th November 2022.

he event is to be held at the University of Leicester Brookfield campus, which is dedicated to the use of ULSB (the business school) There is on-site parking. Lunch and an evening drinks reception will be supplied. Delegates can book at College Court) for overnight accommodation at the cost of £45. Travel bursaries of £50 per delegate are available.

Leicester is well connected by rail and car. There is a free large carpark at Brookfield. It is a 20 minute walk from Leicester station. There is good cycle network and secure cycle parking

To get to campus East you can catch the 66 or 67 bus from opposite the rail station, for Piazza building, please get off at Ron Cooke Hub. Allow at least 30 mins.

Alternatively, taxis are available from outside the station, it normally takes 15 mins.
