The Big Conversation: Consequences of COVID-19 on inter-organisational collaborations

Description

Invitation to join “The Big Conversation: Consequences of COVID-19 on inter-organisational collaborations” – 7 July 2020 13:00-14:00 (UTC+1), online

In collaboration with BAM’s Special Interest Group on Inter-Organisational Collaboration, Enscite is organizing the first session of their new webinar series “The big conversation”. This discussion forum aims to connect academics with the business community, and particularly focuses on the pressing issues in the local business community.

In this session we will consider how the coronavirus pandemic is testing collaborative relationships between organisations (‘inter-firm’ relationships) at a new level. There are huge pressures to maintain ongoing inter-firm relationships such as alliances, joint ventures, networks and strategic partnerships. At the same time, there is also a need to adopt new collaborative models that have been brought about by the diffusion of digital technology around the world.

The themes in focus are:
- Interfirm relationships during COVID-19
- The major impact of COVID-19 on models of interfirm collaboration
- The future of interfirm collaborations and opportunities after COVID-19

Enscite is a partnership between the University of Derby and Aston University and offers funding and support to SMEs in the aerospace, rail and automotive supply chain.
