The Early Career Academic Network at BAM will be organising a monthly online network session that will be held online over Zoom. In the last academic year we held a monthly online session, it is informal in nature for the early career academic community at BAM. This session will be titled 'Starting Afresh in 2024: Academic Goal Setting for the Year Ahead' with an invited senior academics to talk questions and contribute to the informal conversation.

Dr Katharina De Vita

Associate Professor in Creativity and Innovation, University of Greenwich

Dr Katharina De Vita is Associate Professor in Creativity and Innovation as well as Faculty Senior Tutor in Greenwich Business School. Katharina provides strategic leadership for the faculty on a wide range of critical aspects of student success, including the development and enhancement of the curriculum and of university policies, and the establishment of initiatives in Teaching and Learning (T&L). As a committee member of the Scholarship Excellence in Business Education (SEBE) group and lead for the Students as Peers Special Interest Group, she supports staff development and champions excellence in T&L. Katharina is Senior Fellow (SFHEA) and member of the Board of The International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM) Special Interest Group for Teaching and Coaching and Governor of Barking and Dagenham College. Her research and scholarly activity outputs cover pedagogic research, discipline-based research (innovation management) and engagement with practice and industry. Prior to joining the University of Greenwich, Katharina worked for 7 years at the University of Cambridge. During her time at the University of Cambridge, she was academic lead of an Innovate UK project. Currently, Katharina is guest editor for a R&D Management special issue. Katharina completed her EPSRC-funded PhD at the University of Cambridge and holds a MSc in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (distinction) and a BA (Hons) in International Business from the University of Greenwich (first class).
