Maureen Meadows is Professor of Strategic Management in the Research Centre for Resilient Business and Society at Coventry University. She is Associate Editor at Long Range Planning, a top tier journal (CABS 4).
In this presentation, she will set out the aims and scope of the journal, as well as its strategic positioning. She will outline some key attributes that the Editorial Team look for in an LRP paper, and some of the most common reasons for desk rejection of authors’ submissions.
She will explain the submission process at LRP, and offer tips for navigating the peer review process with a top tier journal.

Maureen Meadows is Professor of Strategic Management at the Centre for Business in Society (CBiS) at Coventry University. Maureen spent ten years at the Open University Business School, including five years as Head of Department for Strategy and Marketing, OUBS, and leader of the MBA module in strategic management.
She was previously at Warwick Business School for thirteen years, where she directed the MSc in Management Science and Operational Research for five years.

David Sarpong is Professor of Strategy and the Marketing and Strategy Subject Group Head at Aston Business School, Aston University. Former Vice Chair of the British Academy of Management (BAM), David served on the BAM Council’s Sub-Committee of Academic Affairs of Conference and Capacity Building (AACCB), and is a former Convenor of the Annual Doctoral Symposium of the Academy. A Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the Higher School of Economics (HSE) Laboratory for Economics of Innovation, David has since 2015 conducted research on Russia's Basic Research Program (RBRP) on 'Global Competitiveness’ at the National Research University in Moscow. He is Associate Editor for the Journal of Strategy and Management, and currently enjoys a Visiting Professorship at the Bristol Business School, and an Honorary Research Fellowship at the School of Management, Information Technology, and Public Governance, University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa.
