As part of these celebrations, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our 40th Anniversary Call for Contributions for the BAM Business Research Unpacked (BRU) Substack Blog.
This is your chance to help us commemorate four decades of the British Academy of Management by sharing a reflective, personal, and forward‑looking piece that highlights what BAM has meant to you.
To celebrate BAM’s remarkable journey, we invite members to contribute articles that explore the Academy’s impact on their academic and professional growth. We’d love to hear how your involvement with BAM—whether through conferences, Special Interest Groups, networks, or the wider scholarly community—has shaped your path.
Consider reflecting on:

We especially welcome pieces that blend personal experience with insights into how the Academy continues to grow, adapt, and champion its members in an ever‑evolving landscape.
We encourage contributions in the range of 500–800 words, written in a reflective and engaging style. You can choose from a range of BRU formats by submitting your content via the standard BRU form and selecting one of our 40th Anniversary categories:
