BAM Strategy SIG - Practice Makes Perfect Workshop report

Practice Makes Perfect was a practical (online) seminar designed for PhD/DBA students, to help THEM drive THEIR research forward. 

Intended to complement other BAM events that covered how to be an effective researcher and get published, it was attended by >30 students.  The event framed by our speaker, Harry Sminia, who shared his extensive experiences, offering guidance on how to be a better researcher.  From there, the attendees were split into small groups where they discussed their research and collected feedback from the group on how it might be enhanced.

In terms of feedback, the event was called a ‘great workshop’ with half the attendees staying on for some optional networking.  Within the networking event, it was clear that the events helped address some of the lost serendipitous conversations that PhD/DBA students have missed due to the ongoing need to work from home.
