British Academy of Management re-joins the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM).

The BAM Executive has re-joined the international Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM) LINK https://www.ifsam.org/ . IFSAM strives to be the ‘united nations’ of management scholars to promote worldwide collaboration and share best practice, knowledge and research on a global level. Its membership includes academies and scholarly associations of management from around the globe.

Professor Nic Beech, President of the British Academy of Management, said: “We are delighted to be back in this international and dynamic community”.

As part of its global mission, IFSAM is hosting a new free webinar series on matters of interest to the global scholarly community in business and management. The first in the series looks at the role played by journal lists such as the FT50 in the evaluation of research quality, and takes place on Friday 29th January from 14.00-16.00 (London time).  Panellists include editors or former editors of leading journals, leaders of scholarly and disciplinary associations, and school and university administrators: Herman AguinisJerry DavisProfessor Gerardine DoyleHenrich R. GreveSilke MacholdAlessandro Zattoni and Zhen Tang. Andrew Jack, senior editor at Financial Times in charge of higher education, including the business schools’ rankings, will also participate in the panel, which will be co-chaired by Patricia Genoe McLaren (ASAC president) and Xavier Castañer (IFSAM president elect).
