Call for Papers: Telling the Story of Business 2024 Symposium: Identity and Presence

This year’s symposium – the fifth iteration of the event - will be held online, via Teams, and as such, we will be limited as to the number of attendees.  If you are interested in presenting a paper, or attending as a non-presenting delegate, please mail me by return to express your interest and I will ensure that you are on the all-important list.  As the event is being held online, we have decided not to charge for attendance.

Papers may fall into one of two categories - competitive and working - and must be

  • original;
  • submitted as a Word document
  • submitted by midnight on 31 March 2024 (please email to [email protected])

Competitive papers should be a maximum of six pages excluding abstract (maximum of 200 words), appendices and references (papers may contain tables and figures).

Working papers should be a maximum of three pages excluding abstract (maximum of 200 words), appendices and references. (Papers may contain tables and figures). You will clearly identify which aspect(s) of this paper remain a work in progress (e.g. conceptualisation, data collection, data analysis, conclusion).

The theme for this year’s symposium is ‘Identity and Presence’ and it is hoped that this will allow for presentations and discussions on a wide range of stories based upon business, entrepreneurship and marketing.  Abstracts will be published as and when papers are accepted for presentation.

The last few years’ symposia have seen the successful development of a community of researchers and business storytellers, and we anticipate that we will further develop this community in the 2024 event.
