The Leadership Pioneers Network Centre at York St John University (London Campus), in partnership with the Centre for Leadership and Empowerment at the University of Greater Manchester, invites submissions for the Leadership Pioneers Network Centre Conference 2026. The conference aims to bring together academics, practitioners and doctoral scholars to explore innovative research, emerging organisational practices and new directions that advance leadership and management for meaningful social and institutional impact.

Submissions are welcomed as Full Papers and Developmental Papers and should align with one of the four confirmed thematic tracks below.

Track 1: Leadership Theory, Practice and Future Directions

This track welcomes rigorous theoretical, empirical and methodological contributions that advance contemporary leadership scholarship. Areas are not restricted but may include leadership identities, distributed and collective leadership, power and followership, and the development of new frameworks shaping future research agendas.

Track 2: Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation and the Future of Management

This track examines the implications of artificial intelligence, automation and digital transformation for managerial work and organisational governance. Relevant themes include algorithmic management, human–AI collaboration, digital capability development, ethical AI and the reshaping of work in digitally enabled environments.

Track 3: Marketing, Influence and Strategic Communication in Contemporary Organisations

This track focuses on the evolving role of marketing and strategic communication in organisational and societal contexts. Areas of interest include consumer behaviour, branding, digital marketing, persuasive communication and stakeholder engagement during periods of complexity and change.

Track 4: Management, Organisations and Social Change

This track explores how organisations respond to societal, environmental and institutional challenges. Topics may include sustainability, corporate social responsibility, ethics, inclusion, public value leadership, crisis management and organisational development.


Submission Categories

Full Papers
Completed empirical or theoretical studies that offer robust findings, clear methodological grounding, and well-developed contributions to scholarship.

Developmental Papers
Early-stage, exploratory, or conceptual works where authors present emerging ideas, preliminary analyses, or initial frameworks, and actively seek constructive, developmental feedback to refine their arguments and guide future progression of the study.
