CMCE Virtual Showcase: Selling and delivering excellent consulting, on 12 September 2023, 4.30 pm

Consultants operating as independents need to respond rapidly to clients’ needs but rarely possess all the capabilities required to sell and deliver, particularly when competing with larger established firms. How can solo consultants and small firms develop their ability to form effective teams rapidly from their professional networks? It’s an essential skill and in this joint event with CMCE, Richmond Group and Jungledrum we will build on the latest research into this area and share our own experiences.

The discussion will be initiated by 2022 CMCE Research Award winners David Cross and Juani Swart, who will present their research into effective Project Network Organisations, including case studies that will identify the factors and mechanisms that contribute to success. We will then develop these ideas and share experience in breakout groups. This workshop will be held on Zoom to widen participation – and also because online videoconferencing is increasingly the default medium for team formation.
