DSIT have recently launched a new online Innovation Clusters Map to provide the most comprehensive picture to date of firm-level innovation activity across the UK and, for the first time, a shared understanding of the innovation clusters that exist across the UK. Its development has been supported by the ESRC’s Innovation and Research Caucus team, co-led by Professor Tim Vorley (Oxford Brookes) and Professor Stephen Roper (Warwick).
Alongside this is an introduction from the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, Michelle Donelan MP.
The map will be continuously developed in line with new data and feedback, but DSIT hope that – when combined with local intelligence and insight – it will help investors, policymakers and others to better understand, engage with and invest in the UK’s thriving innovation ecosystem.
