Fully-funded PhD to lead an Education-Focused research project: “Evaluating the impact of sustainability education" at Cranfield School of Management

This project therefore seeks to evaluate the impact that education for sustainability has on individuals and their organisations, using the Cranfield Sustainability MSc as a focus for the study. The research will involve tracking and evaluating the changes that executive students bring about in their organisations and wider systems through applying their learning and developing their personal knowledge and competencies. The Sustainability MSc is an ideal programme to evaluate, providing the opportunity for longitudinal study of sustainability-oriented professionals working within organisations whilst completing their studies part time over 2 ½ years. The aim is to identify what works and how, so that education for sustainability can be improved, and achieve the radical, necessary, and hugely urgent changes in business and society. This will involve identifying and evaluating links between learning activities and interventions, the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours and ultimately evaluating the impact achieved through their application.
