MKE Teaching Practice Conference 2023 - Call for Proposals

We are delighted to confirm the Management Knowledge and Education (MKE) Teaching Practice Conference will take place on the 7th July in London.

The theme of this year's conference will be on Your Voice: Shaping the Future of Management Education.

With challenges of ensuring an excellent and inclusive student experience with successful employability outcomes against the backdrop of School re-accreditation, the REF and TEF processes, and broader concerns regarding sustainability and the impact of Brexit, how can we retain both our own focus on learning and teaching whilst ensuring colleagues and our institutions make your voice heard as you shape the future of Management Education? This principal question guides our MKE Teaching Practice conference in 2023.

Submit a proposal

We will be offering ‘market-place’ tables for conversations around key themes identified from your submissions.  There will also be opportunities for sensemaking, imagining what teaching might look like in the future, exploring the changing roles of educators and students, as well as opportunities for personal action-planning.

In submitting a topic, you are indicating your willingness to share in a short presentation on an aspect of your teaching practice for discussion at a ‘market place’ table (up-to 10 participants at a table).

In no more than 500 words please explain:

•    Your role, subject area and context for the practice

•    What is the practice? Why have you found it helpful?

•    How does the practice address the conference theme of sharing your voice as a Management Educator?

•    Questions you wish to ask peers for advice and/or feedback

•    References or website links (if relevant)

The submission deadline is 12:00 on Friday 28th April 2023. The submission link can be found below:
