New Co-Editor-in-Chief Announced for IJMR

We are delighted to welcome Joaquín Alegre, Professor of Innovation Management at the University of Valencia in Spain as incoming Co-Editor-in-Chief for our journal, The International Journal of Management Reviews. Professor Alegre will join Professor Jamie Callahan and Dr Marian Iszatt-White from January 2023 and succeeds outgoing Co-Editor-in-Chief, Professor Dermot Breslin FBAM. We are ever grateful to Professor Breslin for his wonderful work over the past 6 years.

Speaking on his appointment, Professor Alegre said, “Having served as an Associate Editor since January 2020, I am pleased to join IJMR’s Editors-in Chief team. Managing and promoting IJMR is to be a fantastic experience!”

Joaquín Alegre is a Professor in Innovation Management at University of Valencia. He has been Visiting Researcher at INSEAD and University of Sussex. His teaching and research interests focus on the innovation process in organisations. Innovation, organisational learning and knowledge management are frequent topics in his research. He has published his findings in top academic journals such as Research Policy, Journal of Product Innovation Management or International Journal of Management Reviews. In 2021, Joaquín Alegre was named on the Stanford List among the top 2% most widely cited scientists in his discipline. At present, he is leading a research project on digital transformation processes within SMEs.

The International Journal of Management Reviews (IJMR) is the leading global review journal in Organisation and Management Studies (OMS). Papers published in IJMR seek to make significant conceptual contributions, offering a strategic platform for new directions in research and making a difference to how OMS scholars might conceptualise research in their respective fields. In reviews published in IJMR, the state of knowledge in a given field is critically evaluated, and conceptual underpinnings of competing paradigms critically appraised, with a view towards advancing current and future research in the area.
