Responses to Covid-19 - The strategy lens Report

“Responses to Covid-19 - The strategy lens” was a successful online debate we organised as Strategy special interest group on May 14, 2020 (see  https://bit.ly/2UnpSJf) and find the recording  here https://lnkd.in/dZ9w3Sr ). The topic was highly appreciated and well received  by the BAM community and added as the last of four webinars on BAM's Covid-19 webinar series. We were delighted to receive over 185 registrations from over 30 countries.

The great panel of five leading academic strategists included these professorial colleagues: Robert Chia, Glasgow University, Paula Jarzabkowski, City University, Robert Lynch, Middlesex Unviersity, Robert MacIntosh, Heriot-Watt University, and Maureen Meadows, Coventry University. Led by the Chair of the Strategy SIG, Dr. Inge Hill, and supported by Dr. Alan Tait, Strategy SIG committee member, the panel made initial impactful statements ranging from researching strategy reactions to strategising impacts on food supply chains before answering audience questions for 45 minutes. The great number of audience questions included topics such as impact on and recommendations for SMEs to what Business Schools could do, and the panel members made highly thoughtful insightful statements and at times practical recommendations.

Feedback comments such as these highlight the gain for members and the wider business practice and academic communities:

Engaging, provocative debate timely and relevant to emerging challenges Some very enlightening discussion, good balance of different views, diversity of perspectives and time for questions Very good panel, enabled a broad range of expertise in the subject with an excellent chair who handled audience questions very well.

THANK YOU for an meaningful learning experience.”
