Society Publishers Coalition publishes new report on progress towards open access publishing
BAM is a member of the Society Publishers Coalition – an informal network of over 126 learned societies, mostly based in the UK and USA, who publish scholarly journals, either by themselves or with commercial partners. Between us we publish more than 300,000 articles every year in high quality journals run by the community for the community. The move towards making all scholarly publishing fully open – where content is free to read – is a complex one, which impacts all scholars. So the Society Publishers Coalition with Dimensions have produced a handy white paper outlining the current state of this issue. It is available to download here:
