Three BAM Members Conferred Fellowship of the Academy of Social Sciences (AcSS)

We are delighted to see that three of our members have been awarded Fellowship of the Academy of Social Sciences (AcSS).

Professor Paul Hibbert FBAM, Professor of Management at St Andrews University, UK, Professor Marie McHugh OBE FBAM, Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Ulster University and Professor Laura Spence, Professor of Business Ethics at Royal Holloway University, UK have been conferred with Fellowship of the Academy of Social Sciences. FAcSS is conferred on leading academics and practitioners in the social sciences who have also made a contribution to wider social science.

The Academy of Social Sciences is the national academy of academics, learned societies and practitioners in the social sciences. Its mission is to promote social science in the United Kingdom for the public benefit.

The Academy is composed of 1500 individual Fellows48 Learned Societies and a number of affiliates, together representing nearly 90,000 social scientists. Fellows are distinguished scholars and practitioners from academia and the public and private sectors. Most Learned Societies in the social sciences in the UK are represented within the Academy. The Campaign for Social Science is the outward-facing, advocacy voice of the Academy of Social Sciences.
