Call for Market place Topics extended for BAM MKE Teaching Practice Conference

We are pleased to confirm that the BAM MKE Teaching Practice Conference will take place on Thursday 6th June hosted by Warwick Business School at The Shard, London on the theme of 'Enhancing your impact as a Management Educator - your learners and your career'.

This year’s conference will focus on three questions for shared inquiry:

  1. What do we understand by ‘Impact’ in our contexts?
  2. What are we learning about our teaching and learning practices that demonstrably enhance impact for learners?
  3. How does a focus on impact enhance our own experiences of work and career opportunities?

We are excited by the prospect of hosting conversations and presentations that will enable us all to deepen our own learning around the construct of impact. Not only can we see how this will have a direct impact on our learners but it will also build our confidence in contributing effectively to the current ‘impact’ discourse in our Schools.

Call for Market Place Topics

Following the format of the well-received 2023 MKE conference we will offer opportunities to present and discuss with groups of peers. This makes the day highly interactive and gives plenty of opportunities for everyone to actively contribute. More details will be provided nearer the time.

In submitting a topic, you are indicating your willingness to share in a short presentation (likely to be 5-7 minutes duration)  on an aspect of your teaching practice for discussion at a ‘market place’ table (up-to 10 participants at a table).

In no more than 400 words please:

  • Describe briefly the context of your practice
  • What is the practice?
  • What is the impact (and how do you know)?
  • Areas for discussion/feedback.

The latest submission deadline is 12:00 UK Time on Monday 6th May 2024. Please submit via the link below:
