Dear IB/IM SIG members,

I am pleased to share a piece of exciting news on the forthcoming DAN Management distinguished lecture in Human Organization with Jeffrey Pfeffer, an American business theorist and the Thomas D. Dee II Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. This lecture will be held online at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada) on March 26, 2021. He will talk on Why We Don’t Get the Leaders We Think We Want: The Fatal Attraction of Narcissism and Psychopathy. Paula Caligiuri, D’Amore-McKim School of Business Distinguished Professor of International Business and Strategy at Northeastern University will serve as a discussant.

This talk will provide relatively straightforward explanations for the vast discrepancies between the prescriptions for what leaders should be and the qualities many leaders actually have.
