The BAM Project Experience SIG would like to invite you to an in-person writing retreat where you'll connect with fellow researchers, develop collaborative ideas, and make meaningful progress on your writing goals.
The event is designed to be a space to refine research problems, explore theoretical framings, and build long-term academic partnerships.

What to expect
11:00 – 11:30 | Arrival, Registration & Tea Participants check in and engage in informal networking over breakfast.
11:30 – 11:45 | Opening Remarks Welcome address by the organising committee, setting the tone for the retreat and outlining key objectives.
11:45 – 13:00 | Establishing writing syndicates A speed dating-like session where participants establish writing syndicates based on thematic areas of interest, develop and refine possible areas of research collaborations
13:00 – 14:00 | Lunch & Informal Networking
14:00 – 15:00 | Writing Workshop Break-out sessions where participants in the syndicates refine research problems in the thematic areas and discuss the theoretical framing. The syndicates can use this session to agree on the next steps of the research
15:00– 15:10 | Closing Remarks & Next Steps Final reflections on the retreat, commitments for ongoing collaborations, and pathways for research development.

Registrations close on 4th June 2025 at 23:59 BST.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
Payment for the event must be received before the start date of the event concerned. Access will not be permitted to the event if full payment has not been received.
Cancellations

Cancellations received within 14 days of booking your place on the event will receive a full refund.

Cancellations received after the 14-day cancellation period and later than 14 days before the start date of the event will not be eligible for a refund.

Although we endeavour to run all events as advertised, BAM reserves the right to cancel any event if, for example, there are not enough people to justify running the event or if other significant unforeseen circumstances arise. Please be aware that delegates are always responsible for ensuring their own travel and accommodation against cancellation, and the British Academy of Management is not able to reimburse anyone for these under any circumstances.
To cancel a booking a cancellation request must be submitted via your BAM Account, to do this:

- Click 'My Events'
- Under 'Upcoming Events' will be the booking, please click Cancel Booking
- Follow the steps and complete the request
