Description

This is a practical session designed for PhDs/DBAs. It will focus on delivering impartial expert advice on YOUR research through peer-to-peer workshops, led by senior academics from within the community.

The structure of the webinar is as follows.

The first section – This short section will discuss best practices regarding the publication of new research. (During this section, Professor Harry Sminia will share his insights on the differences between good and great research, process that turns research into something publishable, and how to improve your chances of getting through the review process.)

The main section is a practical session where attendees are split into small groups, based upon their research / desired feedback. Within this section, every attendee will get the chance to briefly present their research / part of their research. In return, their group will provide comments and suggestion for ways in which the research can be developed.

The final section – this short section will bring forth the themes from every group session, and close with some wise words regarding how to be a successful academic in 2021.
