The Doctoral Networking Café aims to facilitate doctoral and early career researchers networking. The BAM Project Experiences (PREX) SIG wants to provide a platform where researchers in the early stages of their research journey discuss their research in interactive networking sessions.
The focus of November's Doctoral Networking Cafe is 'Preparing for your PhD Viva: Insights from survivors'.
At the end of the PhD journey, candidates should attend a viva and present their research projects. While PhD candidates spend three to four years researching and mastering their research topic, still preparing for viva can challenge them. In this session, Dr Al Mhdawi will open the black box of the viva and share his insights and experience with us.
The Doctoral Networking Café sessions take place on the last Wednesday of the month every second month.
