Dr Alison Lawson

Institution: University of Derby

Current Position: Head of Discipline of Marketing and Operations

Alison is Head of Discipline of Marketing and Operations at Derby Business School, University of Derby. She teaches social marketing and research methods, and has a keen interest in research and research methods - she even has a personal blog called Musings on Methodology. She has 9 PhD completions and 6 current supervisions. Her own research is in marketing for social good and embedding the UN's sustainable development goals in the marketing curriculum. Alison has been a member of BAM since 2012 and has benefitted much from her membership. She is an active member of the SIG, having co-delivered a webinar on Appreciative Inquiry for members in 2023. She is keen to help with running the SIG as part of giving something back to the community. She will endeavour to be a good financial steward for the SIG and looks forward to being able to assist other committee members as appropriate with discussion around costs and value for money for members.

Dr Sree Lekshmi Sreekumaran Nair

Institution: Global Banking School

Current Position: Lecturer/Module Leader

I am standing for the treasurer position to ensure fiscal responsibility, integrity, and efficiency. I am an Early Career Researcher and hope this position will benefit my career. I am working as a Module Leader at Global Banking School and have actively supported BAM as a conference reviewer and presenter. I have a strong ability to maintain accurate financial records, create comprehensive budgets, and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders. My goal is to closely monitor income and expenses to identify opportunities for cost-saving and revenue generation, strengthening the financial position. I value collaboration and communication and am committed to working closely with fellow members and stakeholders to overcome financial challenges and explore growth opportunities. Ultimately, I believe in the power of sound financial management to drive organisational success. With my skills, experience, and dedication, I am confident that I could manage Research Methodology SIG's finances effectively for all stakeholders' benefit.

Dr Junyu Zhou

Institution: Bangor University

Current Position: Lecturer in Management

My name is Junyu Zhou, a PhD graduate in Innovation and Strategic Management from Loughborough University in July 2023. I have been serving as a Lecturer in Management at Bangor Business School since August 2023. As an active member of BAM, I have been involved in various activities, such as a full-paper presentation at last year’s conference and ECR-related events. I believe my organisational skills, dedication to research methodology, and passion for community involvement make me a suitable candidate for the Treasurer position. First, as an RM SIG member, my quantitative research skills are directly aligned with the group's focus, particularly in methodologies addressing primary and secondary data. Second, as an organised person, my commitment to meticulous data handling and structured report writing underpins my capability to manage the financial responsibilities of the treasurer role effectively. Third, my enthusiasm as an early career researcher drives me to learn, engage, and contribute meaningfully to our community. I am eager to bring my energy and abilities to the RM SIG and look forward to the possibility of furthering my engagement with the academic community through this role
