Transitioning between Modes – from Campus to Online and Back Again

Both students and academics have had to deal with some very difficult and challenging circumstances over the past few months. This looks set to continue into next academic year. While this has been both disruptive and stressful, there may be long term benefits for the way we teach our students if we can harness them. Such benefits are more likely to be realised if we can focus our cyclical teaching efforts on more effective methods of engaging students. Moving between modes of delivery impacts the way we design our courses, the development work we put into them and form of delivery used. This session will consider some of the challenges and benefits for academic staff in working across multiple modes and examine some the design, development and delivery possibilities that can be used to deliver effective blended learning.
