BAM MKE Scholarly Educator Awards

Description

The BAM Management Knowledge and Education Scholarly Educator Awards recognise and validate your commitment to ongoing education-focused professional development with the British Academy of Management’s Management Knowledge and Education (BAM MKE) community.

We have two Awards, a Silver Award and a Gold Award. The expectations of each of these Awards is detailed below under “Criteria for application for a Scholarly Educator Award”. Upon successful completion of the Silver or Gold Award, participants will receive a digital badge for use on your email sign off and a certificate of achievement. In addition to this, as an award recipient, you will gain professional visibility by having your name and affiliation listed on the BAM MKE Scholarly Educator Awards page.

In making your application you will be asked to provide the following information.

  • Date (year) in which you completed the qualifying programme/s (EfP and EfSI)
  • Date (year) in which you participated in the BAM MKE Teaching Practice Conference
  • Details of the BAM MKE How To events that you have participated in with dates (month/year) of participation
  • A brief statement of application in which you reflect upon your learning from engagement in these programme/s and events.This reflective statement would typically between 350 and 500 words in length.

Application Criteria for a Scholarly Educator Award 

Upon successful completion of the Silver of Gold Award, participants will receive a digital badge for display on their emails and a certificate of achievement. In addition to this, as an award recipient, you will gain professional visibility by having your name and affiliation listed on the BAM MKE Scholarly Educator Awards page.

 

Silver

Completion of one of the following:

  • Education-focused professor programme*
  • Education-focused Scholarship Incubator programme

+

Participation in one BAM MKE Teaching Practice Conference

+

Engagement with three different BAM MKE How To series webinars

 

Gold

Completion of both of the following:

  • Education-focused professor programme* and
  • Education-focused Incubator Scholarship programme

+

Participation in two BAM MKE Teaching Practice Conferences

+

Engagement with a total of five different BAM MKE How To series webinars**

* Only the Education-focused professor programme can be retrospectively accounted for, all other programming must commence after November 2025.

**Please not that in the spirit of continuous profressional development, should you wish to progress from a Silver to Gold Award, then you should engage with five new BAM MKE How To series webinars.
